The Genesee Express is always looking for new skaters. From six year old skaters who have completed level 6 of Learn-To-Skate to College level skaters, we have a team that is right for you.

Synchronized Skating brings all of the positive developmental benefits of team sports to Figure Skating. Our skaters are committed to Synchronized Skating because they want:
  • To have fun
  • To improve their skills
  • To learn new skills
  • To be with their friends
  • To make new friends
  • To succeed or win
  • To become physically fit
But team sports also provide the following social and personal benefits:

  • Teamwork and a sense of fair play
  • Valuing preparation
  • Resilience
  • Attitude control
  • Leadership
  • Identity and balance
  • Time management
  • Long-term thinking
  • Relationships with other kids
  • Relationships with adults
We practice at the RIT Frank H. Ritter ice arena located on the Rochester Institute of Technology Campus. Click here for directions.

Our competitions usually begin in December and continue through the end of March. Generally, we have 2 to 3 away competitons and 3 to 4 local competitions. There are typically a few exhibitions as well. We have weekly practice in the summer, and begin developing our routines in September. For more detailed information about this year's schedule, please visit our Calendar.

As in all team sports, joining The Genesee Express requires both a personal and financial committment. For more information about joining, please click here to contact someone on the management team.
